DescriptionEnglish: Small statue of Aphrodite bathing, known as the Rhodes Venus. A later remodelling of a statue type of the 3rd century BCE, whose creation was attributed to the sculptor Doidalses. The Rhodian work is an eloquent example of the decorative disposition in 1st century BCE aesthetics. Little sculptures such as this adorned the interiors of wealthy residences, as well as Nymphaia, private and public gardens. access number 4685.

Il s'agit d'une réinterprétation d'un type de statue du 3ème siècle avant l'ère courante, dont la création est attribuée au sculpteur Doidalsas. Le travail rhodien est un exemple éloquent de l'esthétique décorative du 1er siècle avant notre ère. Les petites sculptures comme celle-ci décoraient les intérieurs des maisons riches, ainsi que les Nymphaia, jardins privés et publics. n°4685.
